For those of you who don't know, Hands at Work is a non-profit organization based in South Africa and San Francisco dedicated to helping out the orphans, widows and the dying in Africa.  This weekend the children of the organization banned together and held a silent art auction. It was a great event filled with raffle prizes, and sponsors such  Jaq Jaq Bird, Tiny Twinkle,  Tin Parade, Lollaland, Bogg Bag, SoYoung, Baby Elephant EarsBaby Soy, SprayPal, ButiBag, Efy Tal Jewelry, SwimZip, Philz Coffee Walnut Creek, Dairy Fairy, Golden State Warriors, Academy of Sciences, Oakland Zoo, etc. Without these sponsors, we wouldn't have been able to raise over $5000.

The highlight of the evening was Charisa Shin's art work, in which over 15 pcs were displayed and auctioned. She is currently a senior in high school. My children was also part of the event singing and playing the piano as they performed some jazz pieces.
